Dental plaque is the accumulation of food wastes on the external surfaces of teeth. If left untreated, it can cause bad breath and tooth decay as bacteria will release acids that attack your tooth enamel.
However, there is a popular home remedy using common ingredients that you can find easily in your house that you can use to remove dental plague and it only takes two minutes
Baking soda produces an antibacterial effect that prevents the bacteria getting into the mouth and forming plaque and tartar. It has antacid that restores the pH balance in the mouth and soothes your teeth and gums. It not only removes tartar but also whitening your teeth.
It will bleach and remove stains and you can use it to brush the teeth as well. Plus, it will kill bacteria, microbes, tartar, remove bad breath and cavities.
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup hydrogen peroxide
- 1 cup cold water
- ½ cup warm water
First, you need to mix the soda and salt, then, wet the brush with water and spread the mix on it. When you do, rub the teeth, spit out and repeat.
Afterwards, you need to mix some hydrogen with warm water, rinse the mouth and spit.
Finally, you should use a toothpick to remove the remains of tartar and rinse with cold water.
You should do this 2 times a week and you can also try oil pulling as well.
As the ingredients are acidic, it is advised to only do this home treatment twice a week at most. It may take time for the plaque and tartar to be removed so do this treatment regularly.
